History
The Arizona Women's Heritage Trail was launched in the early fall of 2005 through a coalition of Arizona historical agencies and women's organizations. Soon thereafter a unique collaboration was formed with the Arizona State University Institute for Humanities Research of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Through this community outreach collaboration, the Arizona State University Foundation provides fiscal services and shares its tax exempt status with the Arizona Women's Heritage Trail. The Arizona Women's Heritage Trail, just recently designated a legacy program by the Arizona State Centennial Commission, actively involves the community, universities, and schools through its outreach while providing an opportunity to represent the state's multicultural heritage.
